Black hen and her black son

We have one black hen. Roosters were at one time a RIR and the pictured Polish rooster. The son is black. With the little tuft on top of his head, I think he was fathered by the polisher. Your opinion

The RIR rooster really gave the Polish rooster a hard time. We had to find him a new home. But, evidently, he left his mark
