My CCL did from day one, sum of my experience though so these are confusing me

Ah but CCL are color/pattern sexable. I love that so much. I wish there were more breeds (that I like) that were sexable that way. There are no guarantees, just keep an eye on it. In my experience, it will color up quickly enough.

I’m not lecturing or trying to be condescending. It’s great that you already knew all that, but I’m just giving my opinion and advice, which I wish someone had given me before I started hatching. Take it how you will.

Apologies, I have bigger issues on my mind and I've obviously overreacted. I would genuinely say the same to people BEFORE they embarked on it. My husband is at this point finding the idea harder than he thought if we come to it, and that was the sole basis I went ahead, so maybe I'm mad at him! We've had a chat and he can. Also both my sons have said they are willing. I also know at the time I did what I had to do and a few months of a happy life in our big garden isn't the worst thing To happen to a cockerel is it?

One of the blue French copper marans chicks is very proud to have reached the edge of the brooder box. The other blue is trying so hard, and suspicious little big comb not trying at all. If it’s a cockerel it’s a little wimp
