Black soldier fly farm

Hi fellow chicken lovers!
We live in central Florida and are looking to start a black soldier fly farm to supplement our 9 hens! Would appreciate any and all insight on how to do this!

I have done mealworms and black soldier fly setups. Overall, mealworms, in my opinion, were much easier to do and throughout the seasons. Black solider fly set ups are subject to the elements and attracting adult flies. My set up turned into a big smelly mess that also attracted wasps like crazy due to the carcasses I was tossing in my set up. It just didnt work for me. I prefer just letting the chickens get into the garden compost pile to forage for bugs and supplement with mealworms or red wrigglers. Have you considered a mealworm set up instead or just started a regular compost pile for them to pick through?
