Black Swedish duck feather color?

My Black Swedish duckling has some very interesting feather colors coming in. In addition to the black on her wings, she's also got green feather starting to come in. You can also see some green coloration on her face. I've got a Cayuga that's showing more green than she is but still, I didn't think I'd see any green colors on her at all! Is this normal? I'm not worried about her health, I just want to know if it's something that's a common trait in the breed. Thanks!

As I was researching this breed for myself after we ID'd my new black swedish "mallard" lol. I found this picture. It looks like the drake has a definite black head but it also looks like the hen has green markings around her eye. The picture doesn't really show the back of the duck too much but the front looks like there is definitely green on the facial features of both. Hope this helps...

I recently have 6 ducks that are very lovable and my duck named Elvis is a black Swedish duck. I also have a blue Swedish duck. Elvis's feathers seemed to turn green in the sunlight. Almost all of the black ducks will do that.

That's my Elvis! The grey one is the same kind but different color. Elvis has an Afro that looks like Elvis hair (where he got his name). In this picture it's kinda hard to see that he turns green.

How old is your black swedish in this picture? I'm trying to find some growth patterns for them to be sure that is what I really have. Mine is about 3 weeks and is starting to get black wing feathers but not turning white on the breast yet like yours

In that picture she was a little over 4 weeks old.

yes he did! They were black with a little tint of green.
