Sorry to ask this here, I used to know the answer but it is slipping my mind! Any insight would be super helpful!
If a chicken (specifically, a pullet) hatched out of a blue egg, will it automatically carry the blue egg gene? Or if the dad was a white/cream layer is it possible that they will lay a white/cream egg? I believe that if they carry one copy of the blue egg gene, then they will lay blue.
Thanks for any insight on this!! Trying to figure out if one of my girls is laying or not. She hatched out of a blue egg but the rooster laid a cream egg.
