I acquired two Blue Laced Red hens and a few hatching eggs. I ended up with two nice chicks. I am in the process of building my breeder flock. Here is momma hen

hi everyone, i have four BLRW that are now10 weeks old.one is very obviously a roo and two are very obviously pullets. then i have one that has a single comb and smallish wattles ( alittle more than the two pullets, but not as large as the roos) should i be leaning towards roo? it is a smaller chick than the roo and smaller than one of the pullets. they are from the same hatch. feet are more comparable to the pullets. but the pinkish comb and small wattles are throwing me. any thoughts? oh, and it is a cranky little thing! not my fave by a long shot!

He looks as naked as a J Bird. I doubt one more week is going to change him enough. He is filled with quills. But this lil girl is good to go..one more bath is all she needs. She is really maturing nicely..

are you SURE those are reds? all my red babies have a dark red/brown and black/blue fuzz... those look more like my silver laced did.

Agree... Even my splash laced have blue fuzz.
