Boy or girl

Hi all
I can honestly say RIR is the most confusing breed so far....
This one is 4 months and one week old. Equal amounts of people say boy and girl.
The tail is permanently down.
What do you say?

It looks like a male to me, too, but the lighting isn't great. If you see glossy feathers coming on the shoulders to the lower back, then definitely a male.

Cockerel.

The first picture looks like he may have wry tail.

It has a few shiny tips in the neck but nothing else on the body except tail which is apparently normal for hens as well.

That new pic you uploaded shows male specific feathering. Pointy and shiny.

100% a cockerel, just a slow to mature one though.
