Brahma chick identification

Update on the brahma chick at 6 weeks old. No sign of comb or wattle development so maybe I have a pullet? Also I read somewhere that only females would have the Patridge colored feathers. (Shown in first and last pic) Opinions please!

That's what I was going to say, I thought only females have that coloration but I also only have Pullets. 11 weeks old here.

However I do see some more red-ish brown on your bird's shoulder area and mine feathered out very quickly 🤷 These are my first Dark Brahma so I am not expert.

He's definitely a cockerel :( He just happens to have a small comb and some leakage. I had Silver Pencilled Rock cockerels with the same brown color. If you need to rehome, I would do so now :) This variety is absolute when it comes to sexing by feathers :)

I thought Dark Brahma males were black with white on the tail eventually? Like I said I am NO expert, just what I googled when I first got my birds and was unsure they were even Brahmas, lol.

Gotcha, still super new to all this😂 We'll keep him regardless since he's our only brahma! Too pretty to let go!
