I have a hen who is making these weird jerking circle motions with her neck. When she goes through a period of doing this, she even does it while roosting off and on through the night. Everything that I search comes back something that will lead to paralysis or basic wry neck, which it isn’t. This hen has be doing this for nearly 2 years, it comes and goes. I’m just curious if anyone else has ever seen this or have any idea why she does this. I thought maybe neurological but I don’t know how that can come and go. She doesn’t act like it bothers her. She has not sick. I have one hen (also a Brahma) that has seizures, and I thought maybe this was a form of that but she doesn’t zone out like the other one does while she’s having a seizure. If she’s doing this and I make a noise or get her attention she stops and looks at me. It’s just odd and I can’t seem to find anything similar because I’m not sure how to word what she is doing. I’m sure that this isn’t normal so if there’s something I can do to alleviate it I would love to know what’s happening as it seems to interfere with her sleeping, other than that, she acts normal.
