BRAHMA : How many hens per rooster

Hi!

Brahma roosters will not be aggressive towards each other.

No. From my recent experiences, they actually could.

My two Brahma roosters don't like each other anymore, and last time I let them freerange together, they fought to blood.
(And they were bros...!)

My Light Brahma has even become aggressive with me, and apart from healing (saving his life) and cleaning him, I did nothing for him to hate me.

The only thing I would recommend is to watch the hens, there is a possibility that they will destroy the feathers on their backs because mating will be more frequent and intense.

Yes.
My Dark Brahma has a lot of hens, but his favorites still tend to become bald.

In that case, get them those cloth covers for the back, i saw that in Germany it is very popular.

I have some!
But when I see my hens losing feathers, I actually prefer to separate the rooster from them so they can breath and rest.

Just read this thread which covers multiple ideas and the situation at the beginning is no longer the current situation. Couple thoughts one person mentioned having 2 roosters caused the dominant to breed more. Maybe that was their experience, but not typical. Many dominant roos spend time protecting hens from other roos. Sometimes the distraction means less mating.

OP sorry your brahma became aggressive. Anytime a chicken especially a roo is removed from a flock, when it is returned to a flock it is like a new integration. With roos sometimes it works, but not always. It also sounds like he may also have been maturing from juvenile to a mature boy at the time as well. Hopefully you will be able to raise up a new boy that fits your flock needs.
