Breed guesses? Week old chicks.

I bought 4 chicks today, two barred rock and two they couldn’t recall the name of the breed. Any ideas what these little chicks could be?

I think Easter Eggers who may lay blue eggs. Maybe someone else got a better idea.

Maybe black sex links, although they have a lot more brown in the feathers than usual. If not, they are probably some other kind of hatchery hybrid, of which there are dozens of brand names, with new ones coming along every year.

They are getting even more brown feathers. The color of those feathers remind me of my Easter eggers but they didn’t look like these as chicks. I don’t think they are Easter eggers though because they were in with all brown egg layer breeds.

I still think they're probably black sex links but they could be something like Midnight Majesty Marans, which are also sex linked. So many hatchery hybrids now but sometimes it is difficult to distinguish between them.

The black and white ones could be Plymouth Rock. The brown will we still have to wait. Where did you get them from? This will help to narrow down possible breeds.
