Hi everyone, I was looking to grow my small flock of polish, and I was wondering if you guys know of any particular breeds that get along well with polish. :)

I have never had any polish chickens. But I would think any breed that is more docile and easy going would be good? Less aggressive.

Bantam breeds and docile breeds but each chicken has their own unique personality so what works for some may not work for others. if you look at my signature all those breeds are kept with my polish with no issues

I have a flock of silkies, lavender orpington, buff brahma, favuacana, easter egger and a cream legbar. In the spring we added three new chicks: a polish, welsummer and olive egger. The polish gets along great with her little flock of three. In the beginning when introduced with the big girls, my cream legbar (who happens to be the friendliest lap chicken of them all) was picking on her and pecking her anytime she came around. She has stopped. I don’t know if you can say a certain breed is better or not. Right now our black silkie is almost part of the little flock she hangs out and the four of them are buddies. However my buff silkie is somewhat mean only to the polish. So she runs when she sees her coming! I think the key is giving them lots of room to roam and escape and hide, so it doesn’t become a problem.

I gave my 3 polish girls to my English Isabel Cuckoo Orpington roo because he only had one Isabel female so I had to add some from other varieties. There is also a Naked Neck hen a English Lavender Orp hen. They all get along great. The big fat fluffy Orp male does have trouble breeding the Polish girlsbthough..they run right through his legs. Ive found some fertile eggs so he is at least getting the job done some of the time haha.
