Brewer's yeast

I was getting ready to order some for the new peepers. I was overcome by the amounts and descriptions. Does anyone know what debittered means? Is there anything in particular I should be looking for in ingredients. I thought I knew what I was doing, but each time I think I know less than the last one.

I checked it out, but wasn’t convinced that there was a real benefit.... kinda like ACV....I add it to my flocks water, but is there REALLY a researched benefit?

I’d go with Nutritional yeast it has more niacin as for what it’s for most of us have to feed our waterfowl babies chick started and need to supplement with niacin because chick starter doesn’t have enough for waterfowl which can cause leg weakness, bowed legs neurological problems to and if left untreated death. So either feed an All Flock like Purina Flock Raiser which is for all poultry and has the right amount of niacin. But even then some ducklings can still come up short and need extra supplementation .

I am feeding flock raiser but one of my new peeps was a bit wobbly. Nothing to worry about but was going to add a little brewer's yeast to the feed just for safety sake. I also have goslings and they grow even faster than ducks. Some of the offerings were labeled debittered. This were about twice as expensive as the ones not labeled that. Most of the reviews were from lactating humans. So I wondered what other folks might be using for a little extra niacin boost for baby waterfowl. I used the Now brand last time and the debittered. I will check out nutritional. The little guys did not like the brewers last time and I got lots of complaints.

thanks. I see they have flakes at Trader Joe's which is near me. Will I need to grind them to powder or will the babies eat the flakes. I am leaning toward grinding.
