Hi all, thank you once again for all of your support. Just another quick question. I have just ordered the Brinsea Mini Advanced, Do I only fill one side of the water or both of the sides. Also do I need to refill it once a day? Should I let the eggs cool down? What angle should I set the machine to turn the eggs? Should I let the machine turn the eggs every hour or more? How long do I need to keep the machine running before I put the eggs in? Should I start lock down 3 or 2 days before hatching because the Brinsea has automatically set lock down 2 days before? I’m sorry, I know that’s a lot of questions but can you please try help me as much as you can even if you only know the answer to one of the questions. Anyway I’m exited to hear back from you all!! Speak soon!
Thanks
Storm xx

Before you do anything with water, what is the humidity? If the humidity is about 35-ish, then do nothing.

Now I say that.... but everyone seems to have the humidity numbers that they like best.... so whatever.... read some posts on incubation and humidity levels, and decide what numbers you want to aim for...

You fill up the water IF you want to increase the humidity. Increase both if you want to raise it higher.

Should I let the eggs cool down?

There are studies that show it increases hatch rates... but I usually skip it, and count my "checking on eggs and candling" as the cool down period. And no I do not check every day.

Should I let the machine turn the eggs every hour or more?

Once an hour sounds good to me. .... unless these are shipped eggs with detached aircells... then less turning for the first 3-ish days.

How long do I need to keep the machine running before I put the eggs in?

I like having it run for a few days, to get yourself familiar with it,make sure it is in a good location, etc.

Should I start lock down 3 or 2 days before hatching because the Brinsea has automatically set lock down 2 days before?

The automatic 2 days before is great, stay with that.
