Broken/ separated beak

This is my buff Brahma Ruby. Her beak appears to have broken/ separated on the top. It genuinely looks like it is peeling from the part near her nostrils to the tip. There is some bleeding. She did not appear to have this issue this morning and it has happened at some point in the last 4 hours. Is there anything I can do for her? Will this repair itself and grow pack?

Poor girl!
If you could apply some vetericyn spray, i think that would help.

It seems as if she got caught on something and it pulled part of the beak forward. Watch for infection and treat/clean with vetericyn spray and antibiotic ointment. It may fall off, so keep a close eye on here.

Thank you! After a reply earlier I went and got some of that spray. I will get antibiotic ointment in the morning.

My main concern is that she can’t pick up food. I gave her some liquid food in a syringe earlier. Should I give it a few days before I start to worry? It is going to be very cold here the next few days and I know they need a fuller crop before roosting for the night

Update today: Her beak broke off and she has exposed tissues. I have been hand feeding her today and she is in a crate by herself for tonight. The beak started bleeding after the top part broke off and my other ladies were picking on her. She hasn’t attempted to eat in her own since it broke off.
