We are totally new to chickens and are so excited to pick up our 6 chicks on Friday! My question is about the brooder plate I got from Amazon, it has 3 heat settings. Which one should I have it on? I've got it tilted so it's lower in the back and they can exit from all sides. They will be in the house so the temp is around 70. Thanks for any advice you have!

I don't have your particular brooder heater,, but will give you some guidelines.
Start off by checking before your chicks arrive. Place a thermometer under there at chick height, and note temperature.
General guideline is about 95°F first week. then lower by 5°F each week.
Start by having dial set at medium.
You can also adjust temperature by distance heater is above the brooder base.
Chicks will go in and out from the warm area. If they are chilly, they will tend to stay under more than out.

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and :welcome
