Recently my duck had 2 healthy babies who have imprinted on her and bonded with her. These babies have reached 4 weeks old now I can’t let them live outside full time yet however they aren’t spending as much time with their mom,the two ducklings sleep together on their own, follow each other and typically only hang out with their mom if she runs over to them first.
For the past week or so these ducklings have been very independent from their mother and their mother is broody again trying to hatch infertile eggs so she doesn’t seem very interested in helping these two
Within the same room with these ducklings however in seperated areas I have another 3 ducklings (3 weeks old) and 2 goslings (4weeks old) these ducklings and goslings have been trying to jump out from their seperated areas and meet with the other ducklings outside however are stopped by the older ducklings momma due to her trying to protect her eggs

Would it be safe for me to put the mother duck back outside and allow the ducklings to interact? Or would it cause problems between the 2 different age group ducklings?

I have not experienced this situation but for what it's worth, i have raised ducklings neglected or abandoned by Mama. I woukd put Mama back outside with the flock.

You might give supervised meeting between your ducklings. Be prepared to separate them the minute there is any aggression. But if they are friendly, supervised meetings then monger periods of interaction before integrating them completely
