Figured I'd go ahead and ask this since my ducklings will be hatching soon!
I ordered 16 eggs, 12 call ducks and 4 east indies. Unfortunately, only 3 have babies while the rest were infertile, detatched aircells that didn't reattach after a week or just had bacteria get inside the egg. I do have one last egg that could be fertile but it's outside in one of my duck's nest.
Like I said, only 3 eggs have ducklings and they're in my incubator. Two are call ducks, one is an black east indie (so happy!! I've wanted an east indie for sooooo long!!) One of the calls and the east indie are due in about 10 days while the other call egg is due in around 17 days. I've put ducklings together that were a week apart before and everything went fine but in this case it doesn't go well, would I be able to put the day old duckling under one of my girls? (that is if she's broody)
None of my girls can hatch their own eggs since they're all related to my drake but one girl who isn't. Though, she's 10 months old and is recovering from an egg breaking inside of her so I don't know if it's the best idea to hatch her eggs since it's her first time laying!! (I heard you should wait til the second time around? I'm unsure)
I only have two eggs in their nest (east indie that might be fertile + infertile egg). What could do or put in their nest to encourage them to be broody in case I do have to put a little duckling under one of them?

You can certainly put ducklings together that are a week apart.
Since it’s 1 little with 2 big, I’d start with a fence between everyone for a few days so they can get used to seeing each other, and so the little one can gain their footing.
After a few days, put everyone together and monitor them. Expect some bickering, but if the little one is clearly getting picked on, separate and try again later. I personally found it only took a day or two of being together before everyone settled down.

You could put the little one under a broody hen as long as the other hens & drake are nice, or if the broody / aggressors can be separated for a while. Good, clean bedding and fake eggs are the best broody encouragers. I’ve read it’s best to slip the baby underneath while it’s darker out. You could also jump the gun and give her the egg right before it hatches.

I was really looking forward to letting my ducks raise ducklings this year and since I only ended up with three fertile eggs, I don't have much! If I can get them broody before the little one hatches and it all goes smooth, I'll see if they'll raise it!! If not, I'll do as you said and introduce the ducklings through with a fence between them :)
