Broody Hen

Hi All! I just found a broody hen and I was wondering if I put chicks under her if she will still lay eggs? The only reason i am worried about this is because she is a show bird and i want to hatch more of her eggs.

if she has gone broody she will not lay eggs until she comes out of it again. It can take a while, e.g. I had one go broody beginning of April; chicks hatched end April, and she started laying again yesterday, with chicks almost 7 weeks old and on verge of going independent.
