Broody setting day 16 and chicks in mail too!

i have a broody who "happened" to start setting a couple of weeks before I have some new chicks scheduled to arrive. But they will be about +/- 4 days off of coinciding exactly perfectly. Should I take her eggs from her when baby chicks arrive and sneak them in, then try to add her own babies in a few days when they (hopefully) hatch? (I have a bator)
Or should I wait till her eggs hatch under her and sneak in the shipped chicks in a few days and hope she adopts the newbies then?
She is a Silkie and quite dedicated

I would let her hatch her chicks and see how she responds to them...then add incubator chicks, preferably at night.

Wait until the eggs she’s sitting on hatch, you can try to introduce your shipped chicks to her After that.

Agree, at night mommy can't see them only hear them so she will adopt them. Then by morning she will have developed a bond. Since she is a silkie, and since they are great broody's, all things should go well. But be prepared to have a way to raise them on your own if things go bad.
