😯 Ok, so I've incubated a lot of Peahen eggs, but I'm no Peafowl expert. I've not seen or heard of this so help me out. I only have Peafowl in an 100 foot enclosed pen. I was filling up the peafowl pen kiddie pool and I thought I saw a potato in the pen. I was like what the heck??? So I go in and it's an egg!? I don't know if the picture will do it justice but it is potato brown colored. These Peahens are 1st year layers; I have White, India Blue Pied, and what I think are Dark Pied. There is Black Shoulder in there somewhere because I just hatched a surprise Black Shoulder Peachick.

Hi there! We see those when the egg stays in the repro tract too long. In the past, we've set those, but they never hatch.
I've never had one of those even try to develop, I think they get overheated in the egg tract. I also get some that are flat-sided on one side, the same thing, they never develop.
