Buckeye egg color

My Buckeyes lay a light brown egg for the most part. A couple of them lay a medium dark egg.

I had a Buckeye Pullet lay a 3 & 5/8 oz (104 gram) egg the other day (the big egg in the center):

Top Row: Quarter; Buckeye Pullet Egg; Buckeye Pullet Egg
Middle Row: OEG Bantam Egg; Buckeye Pullet Egg; Buckeye Hen Egg
Bottom Row: 2 Buckeye Pullet Eggs

My buckeyes lay a lingt brown to tan egg, rarely anything darker.

I have had Buckeyes for several years. Eggs have always been light brown/tan.
