Hello,
My Buff Orpington hen quit laying eggs altogether. I have been incubating eggs(With some success) and I would like some off her babies. She is about 2 years old, and I have a barred rock hen that is still laying that is the same age. In the morning I have to get her off her roost so she can peck around with the other chickens. My rooster does seem to like her better than some of my other hens. I then thought that she was broody, I put her in a separate pen from the other chickens, and I put golf balls under her, to see if she was broody. I came down the next morning and the golf balls are spread around the pen.
Is there anything I can do to get her laying again? Or should she go in the pot?
Any feed back is helpful
Thanks
