omg no way!! do you have pics of a buff around this age for comparison? This was her as a chick, she was so much lighter than my New Hampshire red. This is a plot twist lol she’s so friendly!!

The main difference in very young chicks is buff Orpingtons have pink legs. Reds generally have yellow legs like yours has.

Thank you so much for the pics, mine is much darker than that. Wow, I'm so shocked I was not expecting a different breed to come out of this post! LOL. I love her just the same but I'm sad my flock is not as mixed now with 2 reds.

Thanks for finding the pic, mine definitely does not look like this. Dang! She's still loved the same but I was hoping for a mixed flock and now out of 6 sexed birds I have 1 possible rooster and 2 reds
