Looking at the relative size of the birds and the development of the comb...They all look like hens to me.

Hello! I have BOs for 3 years and I really love them. Last year, I added a Lavender hen and a Columbian rooster to my flock. He is now been rehomed to be a daddy at another farm.
I have a question about the color of chicks from this columbian. I've read at a site that the offspring of Columbian x Buff will give either golden/yellow or silver chicks. The site also says that the golden/ yellow chicks are males and the silver are females. Does anyone know if this is really true?

Thank you for replying! I checked it out and read about the color phenotypes. Sounds true, but I also read from another source that the light yellow means pullet, so I am confused. I just can't believe that my hatch has 4 golden/ yellows out of 6 so far
