Still working on saving my Silkie roo, and he is making slow improvements. He is moving some one his own, but still doesn't have the strength to move his legs. I want to build him a sling, but not sure of the best way to do it. Any help would be great! This is a picture of him from last night. He turned himself 90 degrees, and managed to move himself a full 180 degrees overnight. David Crowie.jpg

Glad to hear he is still hanging in there:)

Here's some basic concepts of chicken slings. If you Google "chicken sling" , then go to images you will find a lot of creative ideas.

Is he still eating/drinking?
Also, I believe I remember on one of your other threads you are giving vitamins? Just in case - he needs Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) and Vitamin E along with some selenium. The best way to get these into him is using human B-Complex vitamins (no iron) and human Vitamin E capsules. Selenium just a small amount to help with the uptake of E. You can give him egg or tuna as a treat daily, this will be sufficient (for selenium).

I hope the sling makes him more comfortable. Please keep us posted.
