Hi everyone! I am the owner to a beautiful 4 year old Grimaud hybrid Pekin and 6 year old Jumbo Pekin. They are usually roaming the backyard during the day, and at night they go into their coop I built for them when I first got them. I noticed these bumps on the bottom of the Grimaud's feet a couple days ago and immediately thought 'well, looks like I got my first case of bumblefoot' and panicked. I've been giving her epsom salt soaks, trying to squeeze the bumps to see if anything would come out and wrapping her foot with some antibiotic ointment and veterap so she doesn't keep walking on it. My biggest thing is that I dont really see the 'core' or blackened areas they talk about when they mention or show bumblefoot. I got a picture of one foot today to show what it looks like, but I'm not entirely sure if these are just calloused or what they could be; she doesnt seem to be in pain, shes not showing any signs of limping or not wanting to walk on her feet at all. I've also been giving them Vitamin B complex with their treats and regular feed, letting them wander, etc. Nothing seems out of the ordinary but both her feet look pretty bad to me since I don't have anything to go off of besides Google searches and threads on here, can anyone help?
*I know my picture only shows one foot, but she has both these big lumps on both feet and it's concerning to look at*

Do they feel hard or are they semi soft/pliable?
They feel a little bit of both, like it is a solid lump but it also kinda squishy and it can be moved or touched. I don't see any black spots forming, we tried seeing if we could drain it and when we pricked it 2 or 3 times it was just bleeding no pus.

I wouldn't squeeze as it's not ready for that if it is bumblefoot. Soak in water with iodine. It will only help regardless if it's BF or a callus. But, it doesn't look like a callus in my opinion.
The one spot on the toe could be bumblefoot. I would apply a drawing salve and wrap after soaking. Leave the wrap on for about 3 days. Then check it to see what has transpired. Continue until the swelling is down. With ducks, you might want to invest in some duck booties as it's easier to use vs wrapping.

It does look like bumblefoot which is a bacterial infection that enters through a small cut in the skin. If there is a little of moisture or mud, these can develop and grow over time. Placing her in a bucket or tub of warm Epsom salts water or the Betadine and soapy water daily my soften the scabs. You can then try to open the scabs when they are softened, and squeeze the heck out of the skin to get any pus or plug out of it. A more long term treatment is to use Betadine or povidone iodine mixed into sugar to make a paste. Apply that to the foot, and put a bumblefoot dressing with a pad and vet wrap on the the foot. Change it daily or at least every other day. Keep the paste in a jar. Prid drawing salve can be used the same way. Some elect to do the surgery, but it is simpler when there is only one scab.

I would just use caution with duck feet as they are full of nerve endings. So, if it were me, I'd stick with less agrreseive methods of treating.
This is pretty much what I do and the treatment doesn't take long at all. https://www.tillysnest.com/2015/12/non-surgical-bumblefoot-treatment-html/
Also, contrary to what a lot of people think, chickens can feel pain. I wouldn't be cutting into any tissue without proper numbing techniques. (I know this thread is about ducks - just pointing this out.) ❤️

I've been wrapping her feet consistently and making sure she has her foot protected when she's outside roaming around so it doesn't get any worse than it is. My dad has helped me wrap her feet and we both wear gloves that way no germs get transferred to us, but he told me it feels pretty soft and not too hard, so I'm guessing I caught it in beginning stages? I do plan on getting duck booties for them, I'm just a little hesitant on sizing for them 😅

I will definitely keep soaking her in the epsom salts and wrapping her feet, I'm also going to look into some duck booties. Any good suggestions where I can get them relatively quick?

It does seem you caught it early. I'm not sure with regards to duck booties, I haven't bought any yet.
