I have already posted here before and gotten amazing help, but wanted to know if this is the early stages of bumblefoot, or a fracture mabye. Just for some context she was spooked and maybe attacked by a small cat. I only saw her running away while the cat just stands 5 meters away and after running she just collapsed and now cannot stand at all. This bruise was not on her foot yesterday and the brown spit that looks like a scab on the other foot isn't a scab and is just a little graze. I have been feeding her a varied diet with lots of vitiman supplements for the past two days and have seen minor improvements. I just wanted to inquire about what this bruise could mean and if it is the source of her inability to stand. I would like to add a video of what happens when she's unsupported on flat ground but it isn't possible so I'm just going to attach a YouTube link if you want to see

Welcome to the site, sorry to hear about your chicken having possibly been attacked. It does look like she might have a bruise on one foot and a healing bumblefoot scab or a very light beginning of a bumble on the other - a scrape as you said. Keep an eye that it doesn’t progress. I also don’t think that the foot issues could lead to what she is experiencing, although the bruised foot could be painful enough that it could cause her to limp, possibly. What kind of vitamins are you supplementing and does she eat any type of chicken feed?

From what you’re describing she may have been in a bit of shock after being attacked, perhaps. Keep her somewhere warm, dim and quiet to recover. Be sure to provide plenty of fluid with electrolytes and a bit of sugar added. Also offer plain water, too. Some will go for a bit of Gatorade after an attack, instead.

I have been giving her b complex, and vitiman E, egg mealworms and grain for the past 3 days. I also have her diluted gatorade the day she got attacked

You’re doing exactly what I would do help her pull through this. I wonder if she needs a bit more time to get back on track. Have you carefully and very slowly felt up and down her legs and spine and check for any tender areas? Maybe very carefully tried stretching out her legs and seeing how she reacts? It’s possible that maybe she got injured by the cat and that’s causing the issues.

Yes I have examined her legs before and there was nothing to be concerned over, but today after this post I noticed superficial redness on her legs joint, no swelling from what I can see and this is on both legs on the upper joint it looks exactly like red hocks but she is 2yrs old. She also doesn't react all that much to stretching her legs out, but she seems to like being in a sling sometimes so I keep her in it for around 1-2 hours a day. Thank you so much for reaching out to help, you guys on here are literally saving lives 😢 ♥️

Of course, :hugs I think we all know what it’s like to need help. This is an amazing community. I’m sorry she is going through this. I would say give it few more days of TLC as you are and see how she gets along. You said she’s improved already, maybe she needs a bit more time. I hope that’s the case. If she gets worse, report back, though. Also, do watch those feet, because most bumblefoot starts with small scrapes or bruising. Since she is (I assume) inside with you, it may be a nonissue or lower risk. Keep us updated on her.

Also, consider trying to entice her to eat some chicken feed if possible. It has important nutrients in it that she may not be getting from the other things in her diet right now. A lot of chickens will think wetted down feed made into a mash is a treat. Mine love it, especially when I mix in an egg or a bit of canned chicken.
