Bad case of bumblefoot
We have a rooster with a pretty bad case of bumblefoot I assume. We noticed him limping a few days ago so checked his foot and he had large hard brown scab taking up almost his whole foot pad (didn’t take pic but looked like typical bumblefoot). We tore off the scab top pretty easily after soaking but appears to be hardish infection still in his foot. We’ve tried soaking and wrapping with prid 3 days now without much progress getting it out. These pics are from today. It stinks when we first remove the wrap. The whitish/grayish stuff is consistency of hard string cheese and I can remove small chunks with my fingers.
Just checking this stuff in the middle is the infection that needs manually removed? And tips on how?
