button quails laying more eggs

OK so after alllll that! I've now stopped turning eggs... and I will not open it...how long can you leave chicks in there before you need to take them out?
I know its until they are fluffy but how much longer after that?
I only got two out of my last batch of eggs.. and does the lifting the lid up to get a chick out make this shrinking membrane thing also happen?

It can if your humidity doesn't go right back up. Remove the chicks before 12-18 hours at the max. You will be able to tell when they are dry and its easier to catch the little buggers when there are only one or two to keep track of! Be careful they will and can jump right out of the incubator and that could mean death
so for your next batch week the humidity up to 45-50% and increase it the last couple of days. turning the eggs 2-3 times a day until day 13 then stop. it can take up to 20 days if your temp and humidity have not been regular so be patient. good luck the are the cutest things but boy do they grow fast!
