Adding to the scribble collection. 🤭 I’m still way behind, but I’m not giving up yet!

The eyering in Galahs is one of the features used to identify sub species :) had to nerd for a second there
Now I sorta want to know what the different Galah subspecies are.
The texture on it is awesome!
I was on a camping trip this weekend so now I'm behind but it was worth it, I got to see golden crowned kinglets for the first time and they were adorable! So round and in constant motion!

Elegant
It's not perfect, however, I swore I'd finish it today and accept whatever level of imperfection and rushedness it had
I've never drawn a peacock before and you can see that while I understand how to draw a head the tail was an entirely different beast
I do feel like I understand how it works more now that I've practiced
If I ever desire to draw one again

Now I sorta want to know what the different Galah subspecies are.
There's the Eastern, Western, and Northern.
Easterns have a pink/red eyering.
Westerns have a white/grey eyering.
And Northerns have a very bright red eyering.
There seems to be a wide variation too, taking into account male vs female, as well as the fact their eyering size and colour can be affected by sunlight, diet etc. It's hard to find solid info tho 😂 Hence why I tend to avoid subspecies, that was just a fact I came across when I was actually researching eyering colour change in my galah :)
Other factors used for sub species identification are crest colour, slight variation in body plumage colour, as well as size, I believe.
The texture on it is awesome!
Thanks!
