Another cool night, had to pull up the quilt and sure didn't want to get out of the quilt cave this morning. Bummed to have to close the windows down but nice to open the blinds and let the sun shine in.
Will reverse all this in a few days when the temps soar once(?) more.

Broody breaking session complete. Got one egg yesterday.
Lots of feathers on the boards this morning....reminds me of when my shepard dogs 'blew coat'.

Bright and brisk 55F this morning. Thanks for the much needed coffee. Princess is still sleeping - we went to a play last night. I'll wake her in a bit, and we plan on going to a craft fair today.

I see my surgeon today so hopefully we'll come up with a have plan to manage the nerve inflammation while it continues to heal.

Bella needs to go to the vet. Either she and Piper got too rough playing or she got something in her eye when she was rolling in the grass Friday. But I've been putting erythromycin ophthalmic ointment in it 4 times a day since Saturday when I noticed the discharge and swelling.

I baked bread yesterday, since the house was chilly. And made roasted potatoes, since the house was still chilly.

Today we will pick up the shower from Menards. We're going thither and yon today, and that's one of the thitherest stops.

The vet had to knock Bella out to examine her eye more thoroughly. The fluorescene stain showed nothing. He pulled out her third eyelid and was yanking and tugging on all the different tissues inside her eye when she was out and found nothing. So she's being treated with steroids and antibiotics, both oral and topical, for the next 5 days. If it doesn't improve within 3 days I've got to bring her back.

She came to from the propofol in about 15 minutes but needed help getting into the car...by the vet tech, not me. She had no problem getting out of the car when we got home. And now she's pacing around wanting to go for a run. I personally need to take a little rest!

Always something when you have animals. Right now I am treating a dog for Lyme disease. Of course it seems to always happen when you are about to take a trip, so I have made arrangements with my handler/friend to care for him.

Warming today, blinds and windows open.
Nice breezes make for a great sound track and push some fresh air inside. Forecast heat wave has been shortened.

Got a green egg yesterday, huh, haven't had one of those in weeks and weeks. Will be interesting to see if it continues.
I hate cooking with old and cold eggs.
