Microscope?
Is it hard or soft?
Looks sharp, if it's hard and stiff, I can see it embedding.
Well, she can run really fast! :D
Maybe rubbing her face along the ground?

She didn't do that running. She blasts around in the open field for maybe 5 minutes then is glued to my leg.

She likes to throw herself on the ground in shady areas and roll around.
Microscope?
Yes.

It's soft after having been stuck in her tissue for a week.

I'm beginning to think they got into her eye and pierced through the tissue from the inside and worked their way out of her on the outside.

I was kidding ;)

Pretty far to travel in just a week or less?
..and I think the the sharp end would have emerged first.

We could speculate forever, just glad it's out now, hopefully that's the end of it.

I spent a little time pruning in the pond this morning. While I was reaching in with my aquatic pruning pole to trim out some aquatic mint, that big huge bullfrog attacked my pruner! The grip pieces on the pruner end are bright orange. Which tells me he has probably been hunting my goldfish. But I can't tell if the numbers have decreased. All of last year's babies appear to be present and accounted for.
I may have to look up a recipe for frog legs if this continues...
