BYC Café

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

Yesterday I finally got around to cleaning out my bedroom closet. It was a mess in there! I had bought a shoe rack early this year before things got really bad with Dave and my back and the box has been sitting behind my couch ever since.

I had to wash mildew off several pairs of shoes and dry then in the sun. When I opened the box, no instructions. Great. So I put it together by playing around with the pieces and looking at a picture of the final assembly. I love having all my shoes off the floor! I also lowered the jeans/slacks rod so I can use the shelf above it and under the blouses/sweaters/dresses rod. I applied cedar oil to all the pressed chipped cedar boards, removed everything from the floor and scrubbed it clean, moved the jewelry armoire to the front of the closet and installed all but 2 of the short shelves I had to remove at the back of the closet. I LOVE it now!

Other than the sewing machine, once I get the building materials out when the guest bathroom is finished there will be nothing on the floor.

I have 5 bags of donations and an old suitcase and backpack to drop off at the Salvation Army Tuesday.
I need to do this. I keep putting it off. I am a bit scared of what I will find!

There was such bad air circulation in my closet at floor level that mildew was growing in the rear corner. The whole room smelled!
I'm going to eventually install a small fan in the wall on one side of the closet and an open vent on the other for better circulation in there.
I'll admit it took much longer than I anticipated but I made a change in the racking system and wasn't planning on moving the jewelry armoire. It was straight at the back where the baskets and small shelves are. It's just nicer to have it right inside the door.

Morning all!
I don't have any extra pot of coffee but I can make some if we need it.
I don't know for sure yet but Hubby and I MIGHT acquire 2 DUCKS (male and female). I have never had ducks so I don't know much about them. I do know they require feed, water and pool plus a house to get out of the weather and they produce eggs but other than that I'm out of my element PLEASE SEND HELP!!!!!
