Fred was crowing I said morning he stopped.
I did wash the toilet before dirt was put in.

I had toum once in a restaurant. I loved it, hubby thought it was "overpowering." And that my breath reeked.

So now I have to eat the entire batch I made by myself. Dang, it'll be tough. I don't know if I can eat all of it before he gets back, but I can try!

Sad time of year, no eggs, ever shortening days...the DARK season begins.

Good news, 4 days(unscheduled for jury duty) down, 6 to go.

Sad time of year, no eggs, ever shortening days...the DARK season begins.

My blue Australorps are still laying! Button, who is 1+ year, and Stormy who is 3. And someone else, sporadically, but I'm not sure who. It's not one of the Bielefelders, I'm pretty sure it isn't Widget, so that leaves one of the Black Australorps, who are 4+.

My 6.5+ year old Australorp still lays. She stopped about a month ago to begin her molt. I still have active layers. I brought in 4 eggs yesterday. And almost stepped on one of my new pullets! She and her sister and brother had hunkered down in the corner right next to the door.

We are only hitting a high of 52 today and have a frost advisory for tonight with a low of 37 expected. I may have to build a fire tomorrow morning. I'll have to drag the boy out of bed to learn. He will need to know how to keep the house warm without burning it to the ground when I am in Alaska.
