We got a fair amount of rain last night. I was surprised; they had said most of it would be south of us and we be on the fringes. Well, the fringe moved north.

Since I wasn't expecting it, I didn't have a bucket out as a rain gauge. Ok, the truth is, I didn't think of it. And there was no local news on. Every single channel showed a college football game.

I have a fire in the wood stove this morning, some baking to do, and indoor projects to keep me out of trouble.

Every single channel showed a college football game.

One of which I was watching when the power went out.

We didn't get much rain in total, but it poured hard several times.
There was a lot of lightning.
Power cut off and on about 4-5 times before it stayed off at about 10.
Luckily it was only out about an hour or two, I was very glad to wake in the middle of the night to see the clock flashing.

Sunny and dry here. DH and I are heading out to "See the Baby!" and bring dinner and help with chores. I will also be wrangling the 4yo because that is what I do best, LOL!
Yesterday, I spent 2 hrs weed whacking my neighbor's house for an insurance quote and delivered some wood and got this year's beef in the freezer. Where was that 4 yo when I needed him?

I think the rain is over, for the most part. I plan to dig potatoes today. I've been putting it off, getting other things done. So, a chilly day, some good ol' physical labor to warm me up.
