BYC Café

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I did a bunch of pruning the other day and piled up the cuttings in the burn pile. Yesterday morning there was a doe standing by the pile munching away. I kept hollering at her to leave. I got within 25 feet of her and still she just stood there looking my way. That is when I noticed her left eye. Her cheek was wet on that side and her eye did not have that glass look. I think she damaged it and likely can't see out of it well if at all. She likely won't survive doe season. Poor girl. I told her to stay and relax and eat up while I slowly retreated.

48 hours on 250 mg Amoxicillin and 5mg Prednisolone twice daily, and Will is no longer peeing blood. Will provide this information to the veterinarian tomorrow morning.
With our late Bavarian Scent Hound Bruno it was so bad at 7 years old (hereditary, hid sire died of the same condition) with him crouching over and blood trailing wherever he went that, after a year of trying everything including female hormone therapy and nothing worked long term, we decided to neuter him.
Best decision ever as he was back to his silly and playful self the second day after surgery.
He lived to be almost 13.

I hope your Will makes a full recovery.
