Indeed, one is not used to such blissful quiet anymore!
At five weeks after surgery, DH will leave for another three weeks of rehab next monday, but at least the dogs and chickens will stay with me for company.

The chickens are my company for the next week. I plan to put up the windbreak panels and curtains today or tomorrow. Then I can sit in the run, out of the breeze/wind. And maybe one or two will want to get on my lap.

Yeah. He's the "playing" person, and she mopes when he's gone. She loves her post lunch game of frisbee.

When he went to Colorado, she and I played "flingsbee." Same round red disk thingie, but I use about a 120 degree area when I fling it; 180 with a high wind. Hubby uses about 30 degrees, unless there's wind.

Many new tools ordered off Amazon for grooming the poodle puddle.

It was nice to have a dog that didn't shed, but grooming was quite the chore in itself. I cut Rascal pretty short all over, shorter on the face.
Only did any topiary once in a while for a comic break from the chore.

Got pics of your new dog...and deets(age, gender,etc)?
