BYC Café

Morning coffee done, now move on to cuppa tea.
What will life be without the first morning cup of coffee?
My day always begin with walking quickly to let chickens out, feed them, clean their bedding and area, then feed my little dogs.
I would love to sleep in a bit, have my coffee first, ponder what the day plan is and what I would really love to do.
One of these days, I will be brave, abandon responsibility and do whatever I please...which is have my cup of coffee first before anything else....My chickens often sleep in when it is still dark outside.

Wet here rain is coming down pretty solid.
The other two eggs died before they hatched only pecked the opening. So just two live hatches.

Sorry to hear that 2 of your chicken eggs did not make it. I read online that to let nature take its course, there are good reasons to do that, that is do not help the chick breaks out of the eggshell.
The reality was that I can not help myself, I kept checking all day on that egg, baby chick still not able to break out after a whole day work, I interfered. She is 11 week old now, her adult feather is not fully grown, something is odd about her. She is sweet and beautiful. I am expecting to see some ill health from her.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I went a little nuts with house cleaning, shopping and cooking yesterday. I stumbled upon one of the best ways to prepare salmon ever! It was SOOOO good! :drool
Today is clean the basement day and get half of it ready to seal and Drylok. I'm going to build a gym down there.

Apparently you are rather unwilling to enjoy your short-lived painless condition.

What is possessing you to sabotage the healing process each time you notice a little progress?
Is it just impatience or something else?

Good afternoon Café,

a fresh pot is on the counter and some still warm homemade cake as well.

After the first week, DH just came home to visit for a few hours, but has to be back at the REHAB clinic tonight.
The therapy seems to help already and he is finally coming around to accept that one cannot speed up the recovery progress from such a severe surgery by overexerting.

I am recovering as well, sleeping uninterrupted for the first time in almost four years. What a bliss!

How did adoption day go? @Mtn Margie
