Woke up to a young buck munching on my pond landscaping. He bolted for the woods when Piper started chirp barking at him.

The yard is still draining off.

I saw a button buck munching the ivy in the front yard, about 15 feet from the front porch.

Closing up the lower coop windows on schedule for tomorrow, required 6' step ladder hauling and climbing and not looking forward to it.

Went pretty well, forgot I left the cleats in the house so extra trip back and forth and down and up, glad it's done.

Yesterday I went out to see the chickens and I could not find 5 of them.

I bought a shed to make into a chicken coop and they liked to get under it.

This morning I went out to see the chickens and I am missing another chicken, that makes 6.

I have 1 RIR left and she is pitiful and staying hidden.

I have a feeling this is a hawk.

If five were taken at one time, I doubt that it is a raptor. More likely a mammalian predator of some sort.
