Poor guy! Sounds like canker (trichomoniasis) to me which needs to be treated urgently with ronidazole. Yup, same over here.Some of our "cage free" here mean that they are not out door, just in a big barn and some overcrowded. Then the free range is having access to out door, that is if chickens decided they want to go out. All these chickens still in a big barn, not out in pasture sunshine.
