Hey guys, I'm back!!

My mom, dad, and I got 6 chicks a couple weeks ago, 3 are broilers, and 3 are Calico Princess. This is my first time having the Calico Princess chicks... Anyways my question is, how good are they for laying? And also how is their behavior around kids and other animals? Like cats dogs and other chickens.

Any info will be greatly appreciated!!
THANKS AND GOD BLESS!!!

I don’t have them but they are a hybrid originating from the Czech Republic. They lay about 290 large cream eggs per year. Very good layers. Supposed to be hardy in various climates. Can’t speak on their temperament.

If adding to current flock probably need to quarantine for 30 days before adding and make sure about the same age of flock you are adding to avoid pecking order problems.

Ok. That makes me Happy about the egg production!! :celebrateAnd as far as the adding to flock part, the chicks will be bigger then the older chickens. My older flock is old English game bantam, with a pair of serama speckled Sussex.

Thank you for that info.;)

Old thread, but wanted to sing the praises of the CP! We are at the one year mark, with our's and get 6 eggs a week all of which are jumbo averaging 73 grams, steady production through the first winter, started laying around 22 weeks and super easy keeper in a mixed flock as far as personality..and pretty to look at..couldnt ask for more

How are they for foraging? do they compare with leghorns/andalusians etc?

I think they precious. I ordered ten calico princess chicks. They are inquisitive and easy to tame as my other hybrids. I have a couple out of the ten that are somewhat more skiddish but I can pet them. Too young for me to comment on egg production. But so far I would get them again.
