I have 5 call ducks with colors of: Spot, blue fawn, gray, white, and black bibbed all of which are 15 weeks old.
I have several questions...
#1
Has anyone ever had a Drake who just didnt get his curly feathers or got them late? Because the one I think is a Drake (the white one) has a raspy voice like a Drake but doesn't have his curly feather.
#2
Is there a specific length for their bills? All the pics I've seen of "Show Quality" calls have short bills, but is that necessary?
#3
My blue fawn has a very thin white ring around her neck, I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
#4
Can someone post a pic of a show/good quality black bibbed call?

The end of my duck's wings kinda cross over each other in the back, is that ok?

Those with the short 'show quality' bills might be cute, but they usually can't even hatch out of their eggs without help.

Personally, I would not breed for this (my calls all have slightly longer bills) as I find it unethical, same as with any other extreme feature bred for show in other animals.

I'd love to see pics of your ducks!
Im not really looking to show them, I just want to know what quality they are.
So far as I'm concerned, if they are healthy and happy then they are good quality! :)

The wings crossing each other means the bird is mature enough to to fly
