calling any one from missouri

Oh my - I'm sorry to hear of your condition. I was not aware of ticks carrying anything other than Lyme disease. Thank you for sharing the information. To be allergic to red meat and dairy is a fate I don't even wish to think about. At least it fades over time with diligence in diet, unlike Lyme which is a life long issue. Best of luck to you.

I don't live in MO, but I am friends with a family who live there, and I will visit one day.

As far as ticks go, in Eastern WA we don't get a lot of ticks. I have seen them before on dogs and when I go to pat a deer. We also don't have fleas here. (cold dry weather, and fleas don't like pine needles I have heard.)

My kids live in Oregon, and we have considered moving to eastern Oregon such as The Dalles or to Goldendale WA area, but hesitated due to fires. I feel like we need to get out of here tho.

I understand the feeling of needing to go elsewhere. Can't wait to go back to my roots - someday.
I've never been to the NW region but I hear it's gorgeous and know what I see on National Geographic and in movies. ☺️

I've been riding my road bike for the last few months due to issues with the Wolf Creek trail that I usually ride my mountain bike on. Yesterday morning I got a huge surprise at the end of my ride. One street I ride down at the end of my ride to get a few more miles in has been pretty much empty all summer. Yesterday there were cars everywhere, when I looked around a bit I saw the Poplar Bluff Kindergarten Center and it hit me that school is back in session. This morning I'm doing that part of my ride first...

How far do you usually ride - daily/weekly?
I had an ankle replacement in October and am now walking a lot (2 to 5 miles a day) but I'm going to start riding.
I'm guessing we're about the same age.

Took the 1 year old ( his birthday was yesterday) to the Cardinal’s game with me today. The weather was terrific and we actually won!

I usually ride about 15 miles every morning if it's not raining. I'm 70 for a bit longer...
