OK so I had the first eye cataract surgery today at the VA hospital.
So far so good,
1-day follow-up tomorrow morning then 1 week and 1 month then the other eye.

Thanks! I hope so.
It has been a bit of a downer after having exceptional vision most of my life to what I've been dealing with for the last 18 months or more.
Sometimes I feel disconnected with the world just because of my eyesight.
I'm grateful for the good vision I had for so long but this is something new to grapple with.
I think I should have had done this a year ago but a couple of the optometrists told me it wasn't bad enough for surgery till my last optometrist about 6 months ago had a new opinion and sent me to the ophthalmologist who said I needed it.

I have a 9 yr old Speckled Sussex hen, named Speck. She has resumed laying eggs this year! I thought she was done, haven’t seen any in a couple of years. But I’ve gotten several from her. We’ll see if that continues.
Also, she has gone from the bottom of the pecking order to a bit higher up. She used to be top hen when she was young, then fell to rock bottom —-until this year. Things are looking up for Speck!

Hi all, I'm new from Missouri, and pretty new to Missouri. Happy to be here! I'm wondering if there are any farm swap meets in the area? I'd also like to find anyone selling female rabbits. I have a lone female rabbit who I'm looking to find a companion for. I live near Salem but go into Rolla, Poplar Bluff, and Farmintgton often.

I got 2 eggs yesterday! This means that TuTu the 7 1/2 year old RIR laid an egg! I thought I was getting a slightly smaller egg from time to time but didn't put much thought into it. But yesterday proved she is laying from time to time.
