I can usually tell pretty accurately whether a chick is going to be a girl or a boy, but this little one has me on the fence.
“Brandy” is about 6-7 weeks old, I purchased ‘her’ as a Black Star at a few days old - which I’m now not sure she is (I was specifically looking for a sex link breed, as we can’t have more roosters in our tiny flock). She’s been very slow to feather overall compared to her EE sister, and still has pretty much zero tail feathers. Size-wise there’s not much difference between them, but I’m thrown off by the lack of reddening comb/wattles this far in.
Any experts out there that can tell anything from the pictures I’m including (Pics are with her Serama sister, don’t be thrown off by the size difference lol)? I’m afraid Brandy is a Brandon..
