Can a chick fix its crooked/scissor beak?

One of my 1 week old hens suddenly started to have a very bad crooked beak. All of a sudden I've noticed in the last couple of days it has been slowly fixing itself and now is almost entirely back to normal. Is there a cause for the sudden crooked beak and sudden fix? Should I be worried that the beak will become crooked again?
 
Welcome to BYC. Usually cross beak gets worse with age. It is good that she seems to be improving. You can use a tall bowl with chicken feed made wet with a lot of water to help them get enough to eat. Wash the bowl and make new at least once a day, or twice if it is very warm.
