Can bunnies live with chicks?

Depending on the breeds of the rabbits, some rabbits are known to kill small birds who fly into their cage. It might not be worth risking that with your baby chicks.

We keep 3 adult bunnies and a flock of 7 chickens together with no problems at all! We use straw in the bottom of their run and it’s not messy for the chickens or the bunnies. We’ve never had our bunnies pooped on and we’ve never had an issue of a bunny going up into the coop. They all have quite a bit of room to mosey around in the run though. We have two separate food areas and they share water. They all get hay. The bunnies also seem to enjoy the scratch from time to time. The bunnies have two burrows that they can get to from inside the run. They dug these themselves and it’s a joy to see the bunnies do “bunny things”. Our flock of chickens isn’t that big though. I don’t know- it seems to be working perfectly for us!

I had a Silkie Rooster I had raised and had to do rehab on his legs, nerve issues. My one bunny was out with me and kept going in his pen, they took to each other instantly. So cute, bunny was a support friend, they would sleep together. Where ever Splashy Roo went Beans bunny was near by in case he would have to sit down.
My friend had a petting zoo at her farm, the chickens, bunnies and guinea pigs all stayed together. No issues.
