The stalk and the feathery looking 'leaves' are still on it too. Should I cut any part of it off for it to be safe?

If they haven't eaten it by morning, I would pick it up, sauté it slightly, and then toss it out one more time.

They ate the whole thing stem and all in 5 minutes!! I guess my chickens like everything.
