We have 6 ducklings. We plan to build their coop next to our barn and let them free range most of the time. We have a pond in the front yard maybe 600 ft from where the coop will be. Out of line of sight. Will the dicks naturally find and use the pond?

Yes, they can easily find your pond. Ducks are great and am sure look wonderful as you look out on your pond, but you can’t keep them in your backyard ponds. In search of their food, they can harm plants around the pond, and they contaminate the water by their waste. They can also make holes in the pond liner. To prevent holes in the liners you can use PondPro2000 as it fills all the holes permanently and fixes all leaks.

Yes they will definitely find it! Mine have their own bath next to their run, but it only took them a few months to discover my wildlife pond which is out of sight. They ate all the tadpoles ☹️

We have a normal pond, about 1/4 acer. They go down every am and forage, bathe, swim. Then come back up to their house about 1hr before dusk. Our neighbor has a pond about the same size that they have also found and hang out over there from time to time
